What is a giclée reproduction print? A giclée (zhee-CLAY), is an individually produced, high-resolution, high-fidelity, high tech image reproduction done on a special large format printer. Giclées are produced from digital scans of existing artwork, and printed with pigment archival inks on archival fine art paper and canvas. The giclée printing process provides better color accuracy than other means of reproduction.
I make all my reproduction prints on paper using an Espon UltraChrome K3 Printer with pigment ink. Reproductions are printed on Epson archival professional quality matte paper.
Canvas reproduction prints are ordered out and are made by a comapny that specializes in giclée reproduction prints in Madison.
